My tech life:

I recently purchased 2 of these little guys for use with my Samsung Galaxy S2 I777 and my AppRadio 2 double din car stereo.  The good news is, this item worked well with my Galaxy S2 and it was recognized by all my older LCD televisions. The bad news, this  item did not function with my Galaxy S3 which it was not designed to work with. If you own a Galaxy S3, do not purchase this device. You can buy the official Samsung Galaxy S3 MHL adapter from Samsung’s official website for 24.99.  Take a look at my Samsung Half off accessories tutorial for details on how to get half price off any Samsung accessories under $50.

Overall this is a poorly made clone and I would advise you not to buy it.  The device will tend to get warm and not function over a period of time and regular use.

Over a week ago a purchased a Panasonic AppRadio 2 for a surprisingly low price of 259.99, it was a great deal and quite the upgrade for my 2008 Dodge Avenger, unfortunately I should have read the full details of the offer because the 259.99 price for the AppRadio 2 did not include the 79.99 for the Axxess – 12V Accessory Interface Device for Select Vehicles – Black, Double Din Dash Kit 14.99 , 17.99 Metra Antenna Adaptor 40-EU10, 130.00 Install fee,  and 5.00 Materials fee.

First of all, WTF is a materials fee?

The full price of the radio + parts and installation = 506.97

Items not included in the price of the Radio

• Axxess – 12V Accessory Interface XSVI-6522-N – 79.99
• Metra Antenna Adaptor 40-EU10 = 17.99
• Double Din Dash Kit – 14.99
• Install fee = 130.00

Where to find the same items but at a cheaper price

There was no way in hell I was going to pay an additional 246.98 for overpriced parts and labor from Best Buy so I choose to install the radio myself saving 130.00 and search the internet for better priced parts. My research helped me save over 200.00. I found the Axxess – 12V Accessory Interface XSVI-6522-N on ebay for 45.99 and the Metra Antenna Adaptor 40-EU10 at Advanced Auto Parts for 11.99

The Dash kit was fairly cheap so I simply purchased that item from Best Buy. I hope you find this post useful when deciding to buy the AppRadio 2.

In December 2012 I purchased three DOPO T7111 tablets for Christmas for $59 a piece from the Walmart website, I was looking for something cheap yet reliable for my kids and the DOPO seemed like a great choice.  The  tablet received mostly good reviews, however,  I am here to tell you that DOPO produces some of the worst tablets on the market.  The poor quality,  limited functionality, and overall crappy product lead me to returning all three devices for refunds. Below are some of  the issues my children and  I experienced with all DOPO tablets.

Newegg, Amazon, and several other online stores failed to deliver on what was supposed to be the biggest online shopping day of the year. As I search through dozens of items online, I am less than motivated to buy. Why?  Beacause most online merchants spent all their time and effort into appeasing to the black friday shoppers, ergo, all the online specials have dried up. I’m pissed, primarily with online stores like newegg. I swear they put very little effort into cyber monday.
