In December 2012 I purchased three DOPO T7111 tablets for Christmas for $59 a piece from the Walmart website, I was looking for something cheap yet reliable for my kids and the DOPO seemed like a great choice. The tablet received mostly good reviews, however, I am here to tell you that DOPO produces some of the worst tablets on the market. The poor quality, limited functionality, and overall crappy product lead me to returning all three devices for refunds. Below are some of the issues my children and I experienced with all DOPO tablets.
- The LCD screen is one of the worst quality screens I have even seen on a tablet, the colors are saturated, the viewing angle is bad, and the screen glare makes the device impossible to use outdoors or in a vehicle during the day. The touchscreen is very unresponsive and will mostly not respond to your input, (swipes and touching of icons)
- DC Power and DC adapter port – all three devices showed serious issues with the dc power slot being damaged over a period of time which lead to the devices being unable to charge due to the inner pin damage.
- Durability -Not very durable especially if you have children who tend to drop things from time to time. The cheap casing of the tablet makes it easy to break on any surface including carpet. The casing of the tablet is so cheap you can pry the device into two pieces simply by separating the backing.
- Battery life and Apps – With a full charge, all three devices had an average battery life of 2 hours with wireless enabled. Simple apps like Angry Birds failed to launch on all three devices I purchased, this should be false advertising because the company claims that the Angry Bird game is compatible with the T711
Overall I would give the DOPO T711 1 out of 5 stars. This is a horrible device , my children had nothing but problems with it and I’m glad I got rid of it. Save a few extra dollars and purchase a more reliable tablet.
