Recently I decided it was time to refurbish my old beat-up and dusty rims with a new paint job that is sure to last for years to come. The previous paint job simply did not withstand the harsh east coast weather, not to mention I chose a cheaper route by using spray cans, primer, and clear coat all purchased at a local automotive store. Fifty bucks wasn’t a bad idea at the time as it was a sound decision based on budget, unfortunately, you get what you pay for — which subsequently brings me to my current situation where I am forced to make good on a project that should always be executed right the first time.
I began this project first by ensuring I had the proper equipment such as: Air compressor, HLVP Spray Guns, Electric Sander, Sand Paper, and all professional grade Paint, Primer, and Clear Coat. I must say, the second time around this project was much easier, and with a completion time of only 72 hours, I was able to bring life back into busted set of wheels.
